The Stock Market Stack means a list of orders currently placed to buy or sell an investor's assets. The market glass looks like an ordinary table. The table contains such parameters as the set price and the number of shares, if it is a stock market, or other assets in other terms. The transaction takes place at the moment when the brokerage system finds such an order which meets the requirements set in the order.

There are situations when the orders hang for a long time and the counter request which corresponds to requirements, still is not found. Then such order is entered into the "order book". It should be noted that the difference between the most favorable quotations of the buyer of the asset/instrument and the best prices of the seller of the asset form the spread.
